Options, Inc. Elects Board of DirectorsMarlborough, MA Employment
Options, Inc. today announced new elections to its board of directors. At its
recent annual meeting, nine directors were re-elected and two new directors were
elected. Options is looking to fill three more positions. These volunteer
board members face new challenges as Options explores new and different needs
within Marlborough and how the organization's philosophy of meaningful work can
help others find successful employment. New directors are nominated by the
board based on specific demographics, experiences and characteristics each individual
brings to the table. "We hope to attract individuals who represent
a colorful variety of professional and industrial experience and who are able
to objectively portray the requirements and movements of the community that Employment
Options serves," says Toni Wolf, executive director of Employment Options,
Inc. "Options has exceeded its original vision of recovery and meaningful
work for adults with mental illness and now we're looking for individuals passionate
about helping take our successes and apply them to a new and expanded vision.
We want to build on our strengths of the last ten years and go forward,"
says Lyn Branscomb, Options' board president. The board meets six times
a year to determine and discuss the strategic direction for the agency. Board
members set goals, monitor activities and report agency achievements. Current
officers are: Lyn Branscomb of Hopkinton re-elected as president, Todd McDonald
of Aisling Partners, LLC, Hudson, serving as vice president, Matt Hutt of Alexander,
Aronson & Finning, Westborough, in the position of treasurer and Larry Steir
of UMass Medical School, Marlborough, serving as clerk. Other board members are
Robert McKenzie of Marlborough Co-Operative Bank, Marlborough; T. Edward Tirrell
of Metro South/West Regional Employment Board, Framingham; Kenneth Campbell of
American Express Financial Advisors, Holliston, Bob Recko of Employment Options,
Inc., Marlborough; Glen M. Mair, Esq. of Mirick, O'Connell, Demallie & Lougee,
LLP, Marlborough and Bill O'Brien of UMass Memorial Behavioral Health Systems,
Worcester. The recent two members joining the board are Jan Keith of Emmanuel
College, Boston and Sue Durnford of HR Source, Marlborough. The Employment Options,
Inc. board also includes two members of Options' executive staff, Toni Wolf, executive
director and Jim Grasberger, development director. Employment Options, Inc.
is a non-profit agency, serving adults with mental illness and other challenged
