Employment Options Housing Project located at 153 Mechanic Street in Marlboro, MA

Through funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Massachusetts Facilities Consolidation Funds and the Federal Home Loan Bank, Employment Options has developed quality affordable housing for its membership.

The 5,000-square foot apartment building consists of 4 two-bedroom apartments and 2 one-bedroom apartments, to house 10 individuals. The first floor is handicapped accessible and the entire building has a sprinkler system for fire safety. The apartments are built on property presently owned by Employment Options.

The operation and the maintenance of the building will be funded by a Project Rental Assistance Contract with HUD. Apartments are available for rent at 30% of a members’ individual income, while the rest is covered by HUD.

Employment Options also works with an array of landlords in advocacy, supporting our members in these issues.
