May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Employment Options is raising mental health awareness during the month of May!
Employment Options Club Retreat
Tuesday, May 3rd
Employment Options staff and members will spend the day discussing new programming, improvements, and the future of the Clubhouse.
Sunday, May 8th
Employment Options will be dropping off breakfast, flowers, and a card to all of the moms of Employment Options, who have kids under the age of 18.
Wednesday, May 18th
Employment Options will host a club-wide luncheon to celebrate mental health awareness. We will have a delicious sit-down meal at tables dressed with flowers, and positive mental health quotes. There will be an open mic portion when members will have a chance to tell stories, read poems or play songs that hold meaning to them.
Saturday, May 21st
The Employment Options team will be participating in NAMI's Walks Your Way Walk, in support of Mental Health Awareness. Keep an eye out for the Employment Options team as we start our walk at Artesani Park (Boston, MA) and continue 3.1 miles up the Charles River.
Tuesday, May 24th
Employment Options members will walk the runway, showing off fashionable, but appropriate work and interview dress.
Flower Drop Off
May 5th, 11th, 17th, 23th
Members and staff of Employment Options will visit identified organizations in the MetroWest area to drop off a small vase of flowers with a handwritten thank you letter. The goal is to thank our sponsors, and mental health, community, and employment partners for their continued support of our members and agency, while spreading mental health awareness.
Please reach out to Liz Gulachenski, Director of Programs and Services (email@example.com), to find out how you and your organization can support Employment Options and get involved during Mental Health Awareness month.
